$100,000 to Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles
Our support of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) focuses on two critical programs within their nationally renowned Cancer and Blood Disease Institute (CBDI), one of the top-ranked pediatric cancer centers in the United States. The first is the HOPE Behavioral Health, Neuropsychology, and Education Service, a program that provides vital psychosocial care to children during and after treatment. HOPE ensures patients receive compassionate support for their emotional, cognitive, and academic development - from the point of diagnosis to survivorship. This includes therapy services, neuropsychological evaluations, education for families, and school reentry support to help kids return to a sense of normalcy.
We are also investing in CHLA’s cutting-edge Pediatric Cancer Immunotherapy Research Program, which is leading the way in developing the next generation of cancer treatments. While CHLA has already played a major role in advancing CAR T-cell therapy for leukemia, we are now helping expand that work to target solid tumors—such as brain tumors, sarcomas, and neuroblastoma—that are often more difficult to treat. Through this research, CHLA’s physician-scientists are pioneering new methods to strengthen immune responses, reduce side effects, and bring hope to children with the most aggressive cancers.
This partnership reflects COSF’s commitment to funding high-impact programs that prioritize both survivorship and innovation. We know that the challenges families face extend far beyond the hospital room - and we are dedicated to helping create spaces where children can heal physically, emotionally, and socially.
In recognition of this collaboration, CHLA has named an exam room in their Cancer and Blood Disease Institute the COSF Foundation Exam Room—a symbol of our shared mission and an ongoing reminder of the children and families we serve together.
As COSF continues to grow its national footprint, we are honored to partner with world-class institutions like CHLA that align with our vision of care, compassion, and transformational change. Together, we’re building a future where every child facing cancer receives not just treatment—but the tools, resources, and love they need to thrive.
